Mary Asprea Andeppa, 91, of Savannah, Ga., passed away peacefully, on Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at Rock Island, where she had lived for the past three months.
A Mass will be held at Trinity Anglican Church, 1818 6th Ave., Rock Island, on Friday, Nov. 30, at 10 a.m. Interment will be at Bonaventure Cemetery, Savannah.
Mary was born and raised in Savannah, the youngest daughter of Jerry and Lucia Asprea Andeppa. She was the manager of her family's grocery store in Savannah and a homemaker whose cooking greatly was enjoyed by all. For many years, Mary was an active member of St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church in Savannah, where she taught Sunday school and did charitable work.
In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her brother, Denny Andeppa; and sisters, Ethel Maginas and Theodora Andeppa.
She is survived by her nephews, Stephen (wife, Bobette) Maginas, Rock Island, Father Andrew (wife, Elaine) Maginas, West Palm Beach, Fla., and Spero (wife, Irene) Maginas, Pittsburgh, Pa. Also surviving are the nephews' children, including Camille Maginas, Egan Maginas, Emmanuel Maginas, Rene Maginas, Angelo Maginas and Arthur Maginas; and the nephews' grandchildren, Andreas Maginas and Elisavet Maginas.
