Drink, shop and see Santa, all at Bucktown

Bucktown Center for the Arts will host its annual wine walk from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, plus a special holiday shop on Saturday at 225 E. 2nd St., Davenport.

Wine glasses, hand painted by the Bucktown artists, will be forsale Friday. With the $10 purchase of a wine glass, guests will receive five tastings of various wines chosen by Dmitri Wine and Spirits. You also can peruse the galleries of Bucktown to find a perfect original holiday gift.

Santa Claus will take a break from his busy schedule to visit Bucktown on Saturday.He will be in the Midcoast Gallery on the second floor from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and will visitall of the Bucktown galleries along with the vendors of Saturday's Handmade City on the third floor.

Children can shop for gifts in Imagine That! on the second floor from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, from aspecial selection of original artwork priced under $5. Thisart shop is open to children 12 and under. Kids also are encouraged todrop their letter to Santain the North Pole mailbox on the second floor. These letters will be responded to if dropped off before Dec. 17.

Bucktown Center for the Arts currently houses 17 unique shops and studios featuring creative, unusual and usable works of art for sale from more than 100 regional artists.
