Richard N. "Dick" Lovelace, 77, of Moline, passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2012, at home.
Funeral services will be 6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 30, at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st St. A, Moline, with visitation from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to QC Animal Welfare Center, Milan.
Dick was born on Dec. 30, 1934, in Allerton, Iowa, the son of Ralph and Helen White Lovelace. He married Sharon Creger on July 30, 1965, in Moline.
Dick was a United States war veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He worked at Stetson Building Products, Rock Island, for 30 years.
Dick was an avid reader, and he loved war games. He was a devoted Chicago Bears and St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; daughters and sons-in-laws, Crystal and Randy Buzard, East Moline, Stephanie and Jayme Loesche, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; grandchildren, Brittany and Aaron Buzard; mother, Helen Davis, Bettendorf; sister, Marsha and Ernie Fox, Bettendorf; brothers, Mike and Carolyn Lovelace, Coralville, Iowa, Jon and L. Lovelace, Des Moines, Iowa; sister-in-law, Sheryl and Rocky Rogers, East Moline; and brother-in-law, David and Donna Creger, Coal Valley.
