Newton finds his form again for Panthers
Comment on this story
Superman is back.
Clark Kent finally ditched the suit and became Cam Newton on Monday night.
Newton led his Carolina Panthers and many of Fantasy teams to win by scoring four touchdowns. Newton threw two touchdowns and ran in two more scores. It was the second time this season Newton has scored more than two touchdowns in a game.
Newton wasn't the only Monday night star, Philadelphia's Bryce Brown -- filling in for the injured LeSean McCoy -- did his best dress rehearsal for a starting running back. Brown had 179 yards and two scores, but fumbled twice. I wouldn't be too quick to think Brown will keep the job when McCoy is comes back healthy.
Players you might want to pick up: QB Colin Kaepernick, 49ers; RB Knowshon Moreno, Broncos; RB Michael Bush, Bears; RB Beanie Wells, Cardinals; WR T.Y. Hilton, Colts.
Things to watch during the Saints-Falcons game:
Matt Ryan: Ryan gets a second chance against a not-so-good pass defense. Ryan, the Falcons starting quarterback, failed to top 20 points last week against the Buccaneers, who have the second-worst ranked pass defense. The Saints have the worst, so Ryan should be able to turn it around. If he doesn't, you might look for someone else to carry you to a Fantasy Championship.
Falcons running backs: The Saints have been equally bad against the pass and the run. New Orleans has allowed the most points to opposing running backs. The duo of Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers should fare well this week.
Drew Brees: The Falcons defense has been very good this year. But, that didn't stop Brees from throwing three touchdowns during Week 10's matchup between the two teams.
