The following books by Quad-Cities authors have recently been published:
— "Working With Really Stupid People: The Neighbors" by Cindy McDermott. The booktakes a look at the topic of less-than-desirable neighbors and the troubles they cause. It's a humorous, fictional account of the struggles of the manager of a gated community as she deals with homeowners who think the rules don't apply to them.
From 1 to 3 p.m. today, Ms. McDermott will be at Readmore Book World, 1518 15th St., Moline, to sign copies of her book.

After two boys from down the street befriend her, Callie learns that these new friends are the treasures she's been looking for all along.
