Beg your pardon

Comment on this story

— A Wednesday story on caucus results and nonpartisan petition candidates should have said Lawrence Bay, of Port Byron, is a Republican nominee for mayor and organized the caucus, the second in 20 years for the village. No other candidates were nominated. We regret the error.

— A story in Tuesday's paper from Illinois Watchdog news service listed an incorrect amount for the state's unfunded pension liability. It should have said $96 million. We regret the source's error.

— A Sunday article on "'Twas the Artmare Before Christmas" at the Village Theatre in Davenport incorrectly reported Tera Conine was the final body-paint model at the Saturday event. She did not participate. We regret the source's error.

— A recent story about WQPT's broadcast of the PBS documentary "Poor Kids" incorrectly stated the number of people nationwide who have donated online to a fund for the children in the film. More than 1,500 people have visited truevisiontv.com/poor-kids-fund; not all have made donations. We regret the reporter's error.

— A brief in Wednesday's Metro East incorrectly stated the First United Methodist Church in Port Byron was hosting its annual Christmas Traditions on Saturday. The event was last weekend. We apologize for the error.
