Friends and relatives are invited to help Jane Vaughn Barber celebrate her 80th birthday, on Dec. 15, at the Svithiod Club, 1522 6th Ave., Moline, from 2 to 5 p.m. No gifts, please.
Jane was born Dec. 15, 1932, in Sand Springs, Okla. She married Donald Vaughn in 1952.
Her children are Sandy Vaughn Baughman and husband, Ron, of Okmulgee, Okla.; Susan Vaughn Anderson and Jim Vaughn, both of Davenport.
In 1981, she married Douglas Barber, who also has three children, Lisa Barber Hughes, Cary, N.C. ; Kirk Barber, Broken Arrow, Okla.; and Mark Barber, Tulsa, Okla. She has numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Jane worked for Travelers Insurance Co. in Davenport for 12 years, and worked for United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 431, for 13 years before retiring in 1993.
