United Township will open play in the Pontiac Holiday Tournament against top-ranked Chicago Simeon at 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 27. The Wolverines are the two-time defending Class 4A state champions and feature senior forward Jabari Parker, ranked as one of the nation's best players.

The Panthers will either play Bloomington or Pontiac in their second game.

At the Macomb-Western Holiday Tournament, Rockridge earned the No. 1 seed in the 16-team field. The seeds were released on Sunday night.
