Jacil D. Ham, 80, of Aledo, died Sunday, Dec. 9, 2012, at Mercer County Nursing Home, Aledo.
Cremation has been accorded. Visitation is 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Fippinger Funeral Home in Aledo, where memorials may be left to the Mercer County Animal Shelter or March of Dimes. She was born April 15, 1932, in La Harpe, Ill., to Crit and Alma Harmon Carter. She graduated from Blandinsville High School and married Guy Hardisty in 1950. He died in 1953. She then married Earl F. Ham May 5, 1956, in Macomb, Ill.
Jacil was a waitress in the Aledo area for many years and was employed as a nurse's aide at Mercer County Nursing Home, retiring in 1996. She enjoyed riding motorcycles, gardening, cross-stitching and playing softball in her younger days.
Survivors include her husband, Earl; three daughters, Linda (Keith) Estes, Davenport, Rhonda (Tom) Cady, Preemption, Ill., Brenda (John) Hess, Broken Arrow, Okla.; seven grandchildren, Randi Jo, Douglas, Ashley, Alex, Aaron, Jared and Andrea; six great-grandchildren with two lovingly expected; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sons, one daughter, one grandchild, three sisters and one brother.
