EDWARDSVILLE, Ill. (AP) — A southwestern Illinois man faces up to 18 years in prison now that he's been convicted of a videotaped sexual assault on a female acquaintance he rendered unconscious with a so-called 'date rape' drug. Madison County jurors deliberated about four hours Friday before convicting 51-year-old Bryron Skalisius guilty of criminal sexual assault and unauthorized video recording. Authorities say Skalisius assaulted the former co-worker in June 2009 at her Glen Carbon home by placing the drug in one of her drinks. The victim had no memory of the attack. A judge revoked Skalisius' bond after the verdicts. He's also accused of sexually assaulting another female acquaintance in 2008. His sentencing hearing isn't yet scheduled.
