Todd Zachary has been named the new headmaster of Rivermont Collegiate in Bettendorf, a private school for preschool through 12th grade.

The Pennsylvania native's most recent position was department chair and senior aerospace science instructor at North Penn High School in Lansdale, Pa. Mr. Zachary is a retired colonel in the Air Force with 20 years of military experience and education, including as head of school for the U.S. Air Force Academy Preparatory School in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He will start his new job in July 2013.
