CORDOVA — The village board on Thursday, after a long discussion, decided the village will pay the $1,000 that trustee John Myers paid an attorney to defend him against an order of protection requested by Raymond Goossens, a former Cordova police officer.

The request for an order of protection was denied.

In other business, trustees approved waiving all $25 water/sewer late fees issued Dec. 5 because the office was closed due to an Exelon emergency alert drill.
