Samuel L. Cooper, 80, of Galesburg, formerly of Keithsburg, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, at the Hamlet Cemetery. Bewley Funeral Home, Aledo, assisted the family with arrangements. Memorials may be given to the Sam Cooper memorial fund.
Sam was born Feb. 28, 1932, in Rock Island County, the son of Fay and Ineth Meek Cooper.
He was a retired farmhand.
