A Moline man is being sought by police on a felony charge of aggravated battery after he allegedly elbowed another man in the eye on Nov. 20, fracturing the orbital socket.

The Moline Police Department issued a warrant Wednesday for Antonio Gonzales Torres, 38, of 1110 12th Ave, Moline. He was not in custody on Thursday evening.

The injuries stemmed from an apparent fight Mr. Torres had at an area bar with another Moline man, said Moline Police Lt. John Hitchcock.

Police said Mr. Torres had approached the alleged victim, while he was seated at the bar, and punched the man in the face.

"It was one of those punches that hit you just right," Lt. Hitchcock said.

The alleged victim was treated for his eye wound and released from the hospital following the incident. It is unknown whether either man was intoxicated, the lieutenant said.

Mr. Torres will be held on a $50,000 bond upon his arrest and is to have no contact with the alleged victim, records indicate.
