Quad City Music Guild will hold auditions for its spring show, "Something's Afoot," on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m., Saturday 1 to 3 p.m., and Sunday callbacks if needed, at Prospect Park Auditorium, 1584 34th Ave., Moline.

The performance dates will be April 4 to 7. "Something's Afoot," which had a brief Broadway run in 1976, is described by Music Guild as a "zany, entertaining musical that takes a satirical poke at Agatha Christie mysteries and musical styles of the English music hall of the '30s."

Ten people are stranded in an isolated English country house during a raging thunderstorm. One by one, they're picked off by cleverly fiendish devices. As the bodies pile up in the library, the survivors frantically race to uncover the identity and motivation of the cunning culprit. The show was an Olivier Award nominee for Best Musical of the Year, 1977.

The Guild production will be directed by Martha Taylor, and music directed by Dave Blakey. For more information on the roles available, visit qcmusicguild.com.
