Letter: It’s Catholic Schools Week, consider raising standards

Comment on this story

Jordan Catholic School in Rock Island is celebrating Catholic Schools Week with its students today through Feb. 1 with the theme of "Raising the Standards".

The standards that we raise by going to a Catholic school are we become more faithful to ourselves, others, and God.

Going to Jordan Catholic School has pushed me to become the best I can become as a student and a person by teaching me to use all the gifts God has given to me.

At Jordan I am allowed to share my religion freely with others, not only in religion class, but all day through prayer, Mass, and in how I treat others. I feel I am in a happy, healthy, safe environment to learn.

We learn about Jesus' miracles, the wondrous works he performed, and his life. I get treated with respect by the teachers and don't get bullied by students.

Jordan Catholic School is a great school to send your kids, and the students get the best of the best education they could ever ask for at Jordan.
