Boy Scouts of Troop 243 will serve a homemade spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. on Saturday at First Lutheran Church, 1600 20th St., Rock Island, at the five corners intersection across from Longview Park. The dinner will include spaghetti with meat sauce, caesar salad, garlic bread, beverage and authentic Dutch oven desserts. Cost is $5 in advance or $7 at the door. There also will be a silent auction. This is the troop's 2013 Jamboree fundraiser. Donations are being accepted and extra food will be donated to the homeless shelter.
