Free tax preparation is open through April to Quad Citians with a household income of $57,000 or less. To make an appointment, people can dial 2-1-1, (563) 355-9900 or visit www.unitedwayqc.org/vita.

This weekend is Super Saturday where locations have open appointments (see below) and participants can get a free credit check and open a bank account on-site.

Super Saturday
When: Saturday, February 9 from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Where:
Martin Luther King Center, 630 Martin Luther King Drive from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Walk-in only
Rock Island Public Library, 401 19th Street, Rock Island from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. Appointment required
Friendly House, 1221 Myrtle Street, Davenport from 9 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Appointment required
