Elsie M. Wright, 101, of Naples, Fla., formerly of Moline, passed away peacefully at Lakeside Pavillion, Naples, on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013.
Memorial services will be announced at a later date.
Born in Missouri on April 25, 1911, she was the daughter of Ella and William Carmichael. In 1928, she married Archie Trask, and in 1970, she married Howard Wright.
Elsie always was very active and participated in the Senior Olympics and enjoyed playing shuffle board for many years in Naples. In 2005, at the age of 94, she won the Granny Grand Prix golf-cart races in Davenport, sponsored by Dwyer and Michaels, radio personalities.
She dearly loved her family and was proud of her six generations.
She leaves behind her son and his wife, Jerry and Sue Trask, Naples; a sister, Bobbie Lutz, Missouri; several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.
Elsie was preceded in death by her husbands, Archie Trask and Howard Wright; son, Jack Trask; and daughters, Betty McCubbin and Carol Sevier; grandsons, Michael McCubbin, Nicky Trask and Terry Trask; granddaughter, Cindy McCubbin; great-grandson, Michael Thompson; brothers, Virgil, Harold, Grant, Cecil, Noble and Billy Carmichael; and sisters, Madelyn Thomas, Blondina Baccus and Edna Lewis.
