Linda K. Ohl, 65, of Rock Island, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Feb. 6, 2013, at her home.
Per her wishes, she was cremated and a private family service was held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the North Scott Wrestling Club, care of Brent and Margaret Ohl. Wheelan-Pressly Funeral Home, Rock Island, is assisting the family.
Linda was born on July 13, 1947, in Moline, the daughter of Ralph and Violet Gorman Lenser. She married Steve Ohl in 1967, from which she had two sons.
Mrs. Ohl graduated from Grundy Center High School in Iowa and later attended Morningside College, Sioux City, Iowa.
Linda had been a stay-at-home mom when her sons were younger and later worked at various retail locations.
She enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears, Iowa Hawkeyes and North Scott Lancers. Linda had been active with the North Scott Boosters during her sons' high school years. She loved spending time with her family, especially her sons and grandsons.
Survivors include her sons, Brent (Margaret) Ohl and Craig Ohl, both of Eldridge; parents, Ralph and Violet Lenser, Rock Island; grandsons, Tom and Charlie; sister, Carol (Dave) Davis, Moline; niece, Laura Davis, New York, N.Y.; aunt, Virginia VanVelzer, Carefree, Ariz.; and special cousins.
