Harley F. Curtis, 74, of New Boston, died on Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, Davenport.
Cremation rites have been accorded per his wishes. No services are planned. Bewley Funeral Homes and Cremation Services of Aledo is in care of the arrangements.

He was born on June 16, 1938, in Davenport, the son of Floyd and Pauline Nemluvil Curtis. He married Janice M. King on Aug. 27, 1960, in New Boston.
He was a farmer in Mercer County. He was past president of the New Boston Eliza Fire and Ambulance District. He enjoyed fishing and playing cards.
He is survived by his wife, Janice, New Boston; one sister, Debra Curtis, Galesburg; nieces and nephews, Gary and Pam Russell, Jeff and Pam Russell and Barry and Linda Nelson, all of New Boston, and Joyce and Mark Ridgway, Shelbina, Mo.
He was preceded by his parents; and a sister, Audrey, in infancy.
