Mike Ducey was hired as the Moline volleyball coach on Monday night. Ducey's hiring was made official during the Moline School Board meeting. The 1996 Moline graduate replaces Tim Albrecht, who resigned after a 14-year tenure. "I'm excited," Ducey said. "It's definitely a job I've always kind of dreamed of having. It's a great opportunity." Ducey, 36, has an extensive volleyball background. He played at Graceland College before graduating in 2001. He now is the coaching director of Platform Elite Volleyball Club. "I definitely have a long-term focus with being with the program," Ducey said. "You have to have that if you want to develop a program."
