David Howard Compton, of Davenport, died Feb. 13, 2013, in Davenport.
Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel AME Church, Davenport, where he was a member.
He was born April 7, 1962, in Davenport, to Clarence and Vernell Bland Compton.
He graduated from Davenport Central High School and attended Howard University in Washington, DC.
Surviving are his mother; siblings, Karen E. Gutierrez and Glenn E. Perkins; sister-in-law, Holly Perkins; nephew, Taylor Howard Perkins; aunts; and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
