Earl W. Nickels, 92, of Davenport, died Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Crest Care Center, Davenport.
Services are 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Runge, Davenport, with visitation one hour prior. Burial is at Davenport Memorial Park.
He was born July 24, 1920, in Davenport, to Arthur W. and Elsie Pott Nickels. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and worked 30 years for Caterpillar. His love was his cabin and his life on the Cedar River.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Wallace and Orval Nickels.
