It was one-and-done for Bravette junior Cierra Davis. After a turbulent fall that included rehabilitating an ACL tear, for the second time in two years, and transferring from Alleman to Annawan, Davis will watch today's 3rd place game from the bench.

Annawan's Celina VanHyfte goes up for a reverse lay up under the basket during first half action the Class 1A state semifinal on Friday in Normal.
She played in the supersectional win over Iroquois West and that was enough for her physical therapist to sit her for the rest of the season.
She dressed for the state tournament, but there was never a chance of her playing.
"Her doctor who did the surgery cleared her, but the physical therapist told her `no,'" Annawan coach Jason Burkiewicz said. "She passed the strength test with a 97-percent and usually 90-percent is good enough to go, but with it being her second ACL, it's better to play it safe than sorry."
Annawan suffers first 1A loss: The Bravettes' 39-38 loss to Freeport Aquin in Friday's semifinal was just their first loss of the season to a 1A team and only their fourth loss to a 1A program since Jason Burkiewicz took over the program three years ago. The other losses include twice to Stark County and once to Winchester the year it won the state championship.
-- Bad news Blo-No: Annawan has only lost three times this season, all of them coming in Bloomington-Normal. At the State Farm Classic, Annawan took 2A semifinalist St. Thomas More to overtime before losing, then fell in the third-place game to 3A Rochester.
-- IBCA All-State Team: The Illinois Basketball Coaches Association put out its yearly team Friday.
The IBCA team is a combined 1A and 2A squad with 15 players on both the first and second teams, 20 players on the third and fourth teams and 69 special mention players.
Garnering first-team honors was Annawan junior Celina VanHyfte who will play in today's third-place game at the state tournament in Bloomington. On Thursday, VanHyfte also made the Associated Press 1A First Team All-State.
Only one local made the second team -- Riverdale's Hannah Nimrick who was an honorable mention on the AP 2A All-State team after leading the Rams to a regional title.
The third team included Wethersfield's Sarah Hansen, Orion's Cassidy Clark, Prophetstown's Cassie Reilly and Sherrard's Carly Adams. While Hansen and Clark each earned 2nd team AP honors, Reilly was only an honorable mention pick.
Among the many local special mentions were: Riley Waters of Prophetstown, Riley Strandgard of Sherrard and Lauren Clause and Elle May both of Riverdale.
