An early-spring snowstorm has resulted in the Augustana women’s lacrosse team getting an extra home game. Augustana will open the home portion of its 2013 schedule on Friday, hosting Hope at 7:30 p.m. at Thorson-Lucken Field. Coach Sarah Tisdale's Vikings (1-2) were then scheduled to travel to Dubuque, Iowa, on Saturday for a 2 p.m. match against Loras. But because school officials at Loras were unable to get the field there cleared of the heavy snow that fell on Tuesday, that game has been moved to the Augie campus and will be played at 1 p.m. On Saturday. Workers started the snow removal project at on the Augustana campus early Wednesday and had the field cleared in time for Thursday's practice.
