Jessa Gramling, left, Karen Moore, Sunday school teacher at First United Methodist Church, Geneseo; Cy Sammons and Emily Bruce will be part of an “Experience Easter – For Kids” on Sunday, March 31, at First United Methodist, 302 N. State St., Geneseo. The hands-on Easter event will include a variety of activities for children ages 3 through fifth-graders. Children will experience Easter in interactive centers with biblical teachings, live animals, crafts and more. Scriptural basis will be Matthew 28:6. Parents are asked to register children at the children’s ministry table before 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. worship services on Easter Sunday. Free family photos will be available before worship.

The Kantorei of Concordia Theological Seminary, Fort Wayne, Ind., will present an Easter Choral Vespers at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 3, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 4107 21st Ave., Moline. A variety of choral works will be performed and incorporated into the evening Vespers service. The Kantorei, a 16-voice male chorus, is led by the Rev. Kantor Richard Resch, an ordained Lutheran minister and Eastman School of Music graduate. Accompanying the Kantorei will be the seminary's assistant kantor, Kevin Hildebrand, a noted organist and composer. The public is invited.

Tim O'Leary, the Rev. Brian Greene and Michael Finch rehearse a scene from an Easter play titled "Jesus: Love, Life and Hope," to be presented at 6 p.m. Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31, at Living Hope Community Church, 216 W. Mrs. VanDerSchaaf is chairwoman of the Grace Church brunch and Ms. Edwards will present the program, "Reflections on Maundy Thursday." She also will provide special music.
