Frances "Pauline" Allardyce, 90, longtime resident of Moline, passed away Monday, April 8, 2013, at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, April 12, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Moline. Visitation is 4:30 to 7 p.m. today at DeRoo Funeral Home, Moline where the Sacred Heart Altar & Rosary Society will recite a rosary at 4 p.m. Burial is at National Cemetery, Arsenal Island. Memorials may be made to Seton School or Sacred Heart Church.
Pauline was born Sept. 27, 1922, in Centerville, Iowa, the daughter of Fabian and Victoria Blozevich Thomas. She married Charles R. "Chuck" Allardyce Oct. 28, 1948, in Moline. He preceded her in death on April 10, 2005.
Pauline loved her family and had a special place in her heart for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a life member of Sacred Heart Church and the Sacred Heart Altar & Rosary Society. She was active in her church and most recently enjoyed her Bible Study Group.
Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Janis and Kevin DeRoo and Jane Schneider; sons, Jeffrey and Dennis Allardyce; grandchildren, Jennifer and Steve Schnur, Jeffrey DeRoo, Amanda and Eric Wood, Allie DeRoo, Joel and Samantha Schneider, Chris Schneider, Andrew Allardyce, Tom and Danielle Allardyce and Nick Allardyce; nine great-grandchildren; and sisters and brother-in-law, Marie and Carl Raskie and Kathleen Kopatich. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chuck; and three infant daughters.
The family would like to thank Maria Pena for the wonderful care and genuine love and concern shown to their mother and grandmother for the past few years.
