Cover Contest Deadline Extended for East West Riverfest 2013
Quad Cities – Experience Quad Cities (EQC) announces a community-wide contest for the 2013 East West Riverfest Event Guide Cover.
"After the success of the first East West Riverfest last September, the EQC Advisory Board wanted the 2013 Event Guide cover to reflect the cultural spirit of the event and to feature a local designer," said Jared Johnson, EQC Advisory Board member and Director of Marketing, Quad City Symphony Orchestra.
East West Riverfest—scheduled for September 6-22, 2013—is a celebration of the arts, culture and heritage offerings that thrive within the Quad Cities area. It is a collaboration of artists, performers, organizations, attractions, events, and businesses.
Local residents of the Quad Cities region are invited to submit a cover design including the East West Riverfest logo by 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013. Submit a high-resolution electronic file, in color, of the finished artwork by email to Jessica Waytenick at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Complete details, rules, logo to download, and required submission form are available at www.eastwestriverfest.com. Preferred image file format at this point is JPEG or PDF.
The image will be used throughout East West Riverfest marketing and publicity. The winner will be contacted by June 15, 2013.
About East West Riverfest
During the first East West Riverfest, over 300 events took place on September 7-16, 2012, at over 60 various theaters, music venues, galleries, historic sites, parks, libraries, churches, and attractions on both sides of the river in the Quad Cities.
East West Riverfest was started by Experience Quad Cities as a way to collectively and effectively market to residents and visitors the existing events that happened over two weekends in September. Then the arts/culture/heritage organizations in the Quad Cities area enthusiastically joined the East West Riverfest movement and created numerous events to add to these ten days.
This festival is organized by Experience Quad Cities, an arts, culture, and heritage initiative that operates under the guidance of the Quad Cities Convention & Visitors Bureau.
