Dolores Peterson Rossmiller, the loving, caring, talented wife of Charles Joseph Rossmiller passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2013, at UW Hospital, Madison, Wis.
Memorial services will be at a later date.
Dolores was born on Jan. 22, 1927, in Chicago, to Frank Peterson and Burnadeane Davis Peterson. She graduated from Annawan High School in 1946. She then worked various jobs while studying voice lessons.
She moved to Vallejo, Calif., for two years before returning to Rock Island, where she met and married Charles Rossmiller on June 17, 1950. Together, they raised four children, Linda (Gregrey) Murch, Hutchinson, Minn.; Sandra (Donald) Madelung, Windsor, Wis.; Paul Rossmiller, Bettendorf; and Pam (David) Lipkiowitz, Bettendorf.
Early in their retirement, they built a lovely home in Dahinda, Ill., where they enjoyed campfires, walking, boating and fishing. They returned to Bettendorf in the spring of 1991 and resided there until January 2007 when they relocated to Madison. Dee enjoyed oil painting, ceramics, sewing, camping and most of all, her family.
She is survived by nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one infant grandchild. Rest in peace, Mom.
