Former Fillies' standout Hall earns second team AII honors

During her prep softball career at Morrison, Hailey Hall helped the Fillies make their name known as a state power, contributing to two trophy-winning teams.Now a senior outfielder at Ashford University in Clinton, (after starting her collegiate career at Muscatine Community College), the 2009 Morrison graduate was recently honored by the Association of Independent Institutions as a second-team All-Conference selection.

Playing in 16 games, Hall batted .373 with three home runs and 14 RBIs as the Lady Saints -- who also include United Township graduate Payton Geeting on their roster and former Alleman pitching great Karen Marie Pena as an assistant coach -- compiled a 23-23 season.
