Rock Island Rotary's new year began on July 1, 2013 and the club ushered in new leaders a new theme for 2013-2014: Engage Rotary | Change Lives. Anne McGlynn is serving as the 2013-2014 Rock Island Rotary President, Mike Locander is serving as 1st Vice President and John Phillips is serving as 2nd Vice President.

This is a landmark year for the Rock Island Rotary – 2014 will mark the 100th year that the club has been in existence. President McGlynn is excited to be at the helm during this banner year, which will culminate in May 2014 with the completion of the club's Centennial Project at the QC Botanical Center: members raised $104,000 to sponsor the Entry Plaza at the new Children's Garden. "It is going to be an exceptional year," said McGlynn. "We are here today because of our club's 100 year history of service to the community, and we plan to be in the community for the next 100 years."
