Moline Public Library receives Health Collection Grant

"Heart disease and heart-related conditions are the top health concerns for both women and men. Providing up-to-date health information is essential for libraries," stated Bob Conklin, Reference Librarian at the Moline Public Library. He announced that the library has been awarded grant funds to enhance its health collection.
Many of the latest books and DVDs addressing heart health concerns, including diabetes, cholesterol, high blood pressure, and heart attack, have purchased and are on display of the first floor in the library, available for checkout. There are also free copies of the bibliography of new materials.
Funding for the grant project was awarded from the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services to the Secretary of State/Illinois State Library under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA).
