Hallowine Food and Wine Tour
Rock Island Public Library Director Angela Campbell, left, and Rock Island Public Library Foundation guest chef Eudell Watts III, are ready for "Food for Thought: A Night of Roaring Reads," to be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, at the Rock Island Main Library, 401 19th St. The 1920s-themed event features dining, complementary beverages, silent auction with signed books and music by the Edgar Crockett Duo. The early reservation deadline is Nov. 6. Guests who RSVP will pay $30 for one or $55 for two. Without an RSVP, admission is $35 per person. For preferred admission, call the library at 309-732- 7303. The annual Library Foundation fundraiser benefits special programs, material purchases, equipment and beautification projects at Rock Island libraries. Admission is payable at the door and includes all food, beverage and entertainment.
