DAVENPORT — APAC is planning a career fair Nov. 6 to recruit workers for 300 full-time positions at its Davenport call center.
APAC, which provides customer service for companies, hopes to add the jobs by the end of the year, which will be eligible for health and dental benefits as well as 401(k) plans, the news release said. Most jobs will be customer service representatives, and some will be leadership. The career fair will be at the call center, 250 E. 90th St., according to a company news release.
APAC expects to have 1,400 employees after the 300 are hired.
Adding jobs at the customer service center will benefit the Quad-Cities because employees will spend money on food and entertainment in the area, Davenport general manager Scott Bonetti said in the news release.
"To be able to hire for 300 benefit-eligible positions that will give back to our Quad-City community is something we are very pleased about," Mr. Bonetti said.
Job seekers will be able to meet with APAC management and tour the center, the release said.
"We are pleased to offer great opportunities to expand services for our clients and new employment for those seeking a positive, productive work environment."
Eligible applicants must have at least six months experience in customer service, a high school diploma or GED and be at least 18 years old, the release said.
APAC provides customer service for clients in the automotive, health care, publication and telecommunications industries, the news release said.
APAC has centers in 37 states, many of which are expanding according to apaccustomerservices.com. The company also has international operations.
