Congresswoman Cheri Bustos to visit the Give Kids a Smile dental bus

Moline, Illinois – On Tuesday, February 18th at 9:15 a.m. Congresswoman Cheri Bustos will visit the Bethany for Children & Families Give Kids a Smile mobile dental bus. The bus will be at Moline High School, 3600 Avenue of the Cities, Moline.

Congresswoman Bustos said, "No child should go without quality dental care and that is why I'm looking forward to visiting the Give Kids a Smile mobile dental clinic at Moline High School on February 18th. While February is National Children's Dental Health Month, we must focus every month on making sure our children grow up healthy and strong and our community remains the best possible place to live and raise a family."

Bethany's Give Kids a Smile program provides preventative and restorative dental care free of charge to underserved children who do not have access to oral health care. Licensed dental staff members provide examinations, cleanings, fluoride treatments, and sealants in the mobile clinic. Volunteer dentists or specialists provide follow-up care if needed, including fillings, extractions, and root canals.

Bethany for Children & Families is a licensed child welfare agency in Illinois and licensed child-placing agency in Iowa. The agency provides 22 programs and services that further Bethany's mission of keeping children safe, strengthening families, and building healthy communities.
