Thanks, Chunichi Dragons.
Â
It’s one game, but there’s no better entrance to be had at Wrigley Field than living up to the excitement that surrounds you on the first day you step into the ballpark. Kosuke Fukudome was on base four times in a 3-for-3 effort against the Brewers Monday that included a game-tying 3-run homer in the bottom of the ninth inning.
Â
Fans will remember this day like they remember Tuffy, don’t call me “Karl” Rhodes’ three-homer day against the Mets in ‘94. Now that I think about it, Fukudome will likely end his career in the U.S. while Rhodes ended his career in Japan. In fact he may still be playing. I’m not sure. Hmm…

If I remember reading this right, it went something like “In the beginning, God created the heaven and the earth and the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs were without form and void of talent; and darkness was upon the faces of the North Siders.
Â
“He divided the light from the darkness and called the light `Next Year’ and the night `the Billy Goat.’ And it was so.
Â
“And God said `Let the waters of Lake Michigan be gathered together unto one cold place and let Wrigley Field appear, with no where to park for under $30.’ And it was so.
