Bettendorf heads into Tuesday’s Iowa Class 4A Substate Finals with near-unanimous first-place support in the last Quad Cities Prep Basketball Power Poll of the season.
Retaining their No. 1 ranking for a fourth straight week, the Mississippi Athletic Conference champs earned 13 of 14 first-place votes, and 139 of 140 voting points in balloting by the sports staffs at WQAD-TV, The Dispatch and The Rock Island Argus.
The final girls’ rankings were released Feb. 16, as the last local girls’ teams entered postseason action.
In today’s 10th and final installment of this season’s local boys’ rankings, Moline (20-5) and Orion (27-4) also ended up in a dead heat behind the No. 1 Bulldogs (19-3).
