Since the murders in Newtown, Conn., elitist progressives, President Obama, his "O" Group, the other politicians on the East Coast and West Coast and other would-be tyrants, have called for gun control.

They want control of the entire nation and all of the people. To do this the people must be disarmed. This was and is the way of Stalin, Hitler, Castro, Pol Pot, Mao and Assad.

When you hear the blather that no one needs a semi-automatic loading rifle or a magazine that holds more than four or five rounds to hunt, remember that the Second Amendment was not entered into the Bill of Rights for hunting animals, but to defend our nation against all enemies, both foreign and domestic. Today we have more domestic than foreign enemies.

Vice President Hubert H. Humphrey stated, "The right of the citizen to bear arms is just one guarantee against arbitrary government, one more safeguard against tyranny which now appears remote in America but which historically has proven to be always possible."

Humphrey was a liberal and proud of it, but he never sought to destroy America. Today, the liberals have turned into a sect that hates the American principles of freedom and self-determination in a free enterprise system.

The most illogical thing about all of the similar murder episodes in the past few years is that the progressives never punish the guilty. Only the innocent are punished with regulations, laws, threats of confiscation and any other lame-brained idea thought of.

They would sooner see you die at the hands of a killer than see you protect yourself and your loved ones.
