Event:      Quarter Auction

Date:  Friday, August 28, 2009
The Quad City Sports Center, 700 W. River Drive, Davenport, will hold a Quarter Auction fundraiser at 5 p.m. A quarter auction is a combination of a raffle and an auction. Attendees buy numbered paddles. A corresponding numbered ball is placed in a container. An item is held up and described. Depending on its value ($1-$61+), one to four quarters are required to bid on the item. Bidders put their quarters in a basket and hold up their paddles. A ball is chosen from the container. The person holding that numbered paddle up wins the item. If your number is called and you have not bid, then another number is called until someone wins. Call (563) 322-5220 for details.
