EAST MOLINE -- The Rock Island County Children's Advocacy Center will hold a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds, East Moline.

Church schedules a rummage and bake sale

PLEASANT VALLEY -- A rummage and bake sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday june 3 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 18137 Criswell St., Pleasant Valley.

Cinnamon rolls, juice and coffee will be available in the morning. Lunch will consist of barbeque beef sandwiches, chips, soft drinks and desserts.

Aid Association for Lutheran will provide matching funds. Proceeds will go towards air conditioning.

Rules of the Road Review is Wednesday

MOLINE -- A free Rules of the Road Review class for older adults will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday june 7 at the Moline Activity Center, 620 18th St.

The class will be taught by Lee McAllister.

Come out to a `Night at the Ballpark'

DAVENPORT -- Aid Association for Lutherans is hosting a ``Night at the Ballpark'' on Wednesday june 7 at John O'Donnell Stadium, Davenport.

Tickets are $1 per person. For tickets, call Beth Halkias, 332-4610.

Proceeds will support Special Olympics programs in Scott and Rock Island counties.

Strength for Journey meets twice a month

MOLINE -- Strength for the Journey is a new support group for persons challenged by Alzheimer's disease and related disorders and their caregivers.

It meets the second and fourth Wednesdays from 11 a.m. to noon at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1330 13th St., Moline.

It is sponsored by the Illowa Lutheran Coalition.
