Hello, my name is Angel. I am 4 years old. My parents adopted me two years ago from the Moline animal shelter -- in December 2010, two weeks before Christmas. My mommy and daddy tell me I was their Christmas present!

The police found me in the middle of the street, dirty and matted. But that didn't last long -- I now am pampered to the hilt.

I love to look out the picture window all day long, barking at everyone who goes by. I live three houses from the main street, so I see everyone who goes along this street.

I go with my dad whenever he goes to the store or leaves the house. My mom lets me know when he is leaving by saying, "DaDa car," then I go bananas!

I am a full-bred Shih Tzu female, and my mom tells me how beautiful I am! I did not bark for four days when they brought me home, so my mom was crying because she thought they had removed my voice box. Boy, was she wrong! Now I bark all the time, and now she covers her ears!

When I go outside to do my business, I get a treat! What a deal! Sometimes I fake it like l'm doing it so I can get a treat.

Well, I better go because I have to check the picture window! If people are walking to the left, I run to the back door because I feel they're coming in the back door. If they walk to the right, they're probably coming in the front door, but oh well, they never come in.

I hope all my friends at the Moline shelter get adopted and live a good life like I do! Thank you, God!

I live in East Moline with my parents, Theresa and Jesse Cruz.
