Four of seven adults facing felony theft charges for allegedly taking guns from a Geneseo residence earlier this year could stand trial in Henry County Circuit Court in October.

Shane Nordstrom, Chad Brewer, Darrell Weimer and Christopher Schneekloth are scheduled to appear in court Sept. 24 for pretrial conferences and face tentative trial dates starting Oct. 13. Each was arrested in late July in connection with the theft of six handguns -- including a Colt, a Walther and a Ruger -- from a Geneseo home between July 20 and 27.

All have pleaded innocent to the charges.

Tuesday, Judge Clarke Barnes reduced bail from $50,000 to $25,000 for Mr. Nordstrom, 19, of 201 Cedar Drive, Colona, who faces two counts each of Class 3 and Class 4 felony theft for allegedly taking three of the guns. He posted $2,500 bond Tuesday and was released from Henry County Jail.

Mr. Weimer, 18, of 9222 Canal Road, Geneseo, faces single Class 3 and Class 4 felony theft counts for allegedly taking two of the guns, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of a firearm without a firearm-owner identification card. He remains free on bond.

Mr. Schneekloth, 19, of 209 Linder Drive, Colona, faces single Class 3 and Class 4 felony theft counts for allegedly taking one gun, as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of a firearm without a firearm-owner identification card. He remained in Henry County Jail Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Mr. Brewer, 18, of 17751 E. 1799, Geneseo, faces single Class 3 and Class 4 felony theft counts for allegedly taking three of the guns. He also remained in county jail Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bail.

A fifth defendant, James Williams, 19, of 30 Green Acres, Geneseo, faces single Class 3 and Class 4 felony theft charges for allegedly taking the six guns. He also remained in county jail Wednesday in lieu of $50,000 bail. Information on his next court appearance was not available Wednesday.

A sixth defendant, Brandon Stevens, 17, of 507 N. Washington, Atkinson, faces Class 3 and Class 4 felony counts for allegedly taking the six guns. He was released on bond Aug. 7 and ordered to attend an in-patient program at Country Oaks in Davenport. Information on the date of his next court appearance also was not available Wednesday.

The seventh defendant, Bradley Clark, 18, of 13916 N. 2200 Ave., Geneseo, faces single Class 3 and Class 4 felony theft counts for allegedly taking one gun. He pleaded innocent to the charges Monday, and is next scheduled to appear in court Aug. 31. He remains free on bond.
