Larry Madison, 90, of Moline, passed away Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, at St. Anthony's Continuing Care, Rock Island.
Visitation will be noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st St. A, Moline. Burial will be at Rock Island National Cemetery, Arsenal Island, with military honors conducted by the American Legion. Memorials can be made to The Salvation Army.
Larry was born Aug. 2, 1922, in Sheffield, the son of Henry and Annie Headley Madison.
Larry was in the US Army where he served during World War II.
Larry retired from the Rock Island Arsenal as a tool grinder. He then worked at Walt Disney World, Florida from 1988 to 2002. He enjoyed camping, traveling and antique cars. Two years ago, Larry attended the Honor Flight.
Survivors include his daughter, Lauretha "Lauren" Madison, Moline, and a niece, Elizabeth "Betty" Harn Miller, Bettendorf. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rhoda Harn.
