Marsha I. Hughes, 63, of Florence, Ariz., formerly of Moline, died Tuesday, March 5, 2013, at her home in Arizona.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 14, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church, Erie. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. today at Gibson-Bode Funeral Home, Erie. Burial will be at the Kingsbury Cemetery, Erie. Memorials may be made to a humane society of the donor's choice.
Marsha Irene Hunt was born March 15, 1949, in Moline, the daughter of Marvin and Irene Hunt. She married Robert White in 1972; they later divorced. In 1996, Marsha married John Hughes in Coal Valley.
She was employed as a caseworker for the state of Illinois, retiring in 2011. She enjoyed shopping, camping and most of all, time with her grandkids.
Marsha is survived by her husband, John Hughes, Florence; children (and their spouses), Adam (Jenny) White, Muscatine, Iowa, Allison (Mark) Demeulemeester, Port Byron, Jamie (Jennifer) White, Morrison; brother, Charles (Karen) Hunt, North Carolina; grandchildren, Andrew Demeulemeester, Rachel, Owen, Evan, Avery and Zachary White. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and a grandson Adam White Jr.
