Peter Carl Nolin, of Prairie City, Iowa, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, peacefully at home, surrounded by loved ones.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, Prairie City. Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Coburn Funeral Home, Prairie City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Families of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church and Iowa Health Foundation IHHC Palliative and Hospice Care.
He was the son of Daniel Nolin and Janna Hansen, and the brother of Gus. He was born July 11, 2010, in Des Moines, Iowa.
Pete was the grandson of John and Francine Hansen, Moline, and Michael and Dianna Nolin, Monroe, Iowa. Great-grandparents are Helen Johnston, East Moline, Gene and Marjorie Nolin, Monroe, and Lavina Leveke, Des Moines. His godparents are Kirk and Erin Hansen, Moline.
The support from the hospice nurses from Iowa Health Home Care was extremely valuable and helpful, and greatly appreciated by the family.
Petey was a sweet, bright, handsome, happy and brave little boy who brought joy to all who met him. His shining spirit will be missed by all.
