Suzanne "Susi" Stock, 74, of Moline, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at Heartland Health Care, Moline.

Memorial services will be 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, at St. John's Lutheran Church, Rock Island. Visitation will be noon to 3 p.m. on Friday at Rafferty Funeral Home, 2111 1st St. A, Moline. Burial will be at Moline Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to St. John's Lutheran Church or charity of choice.

Susi was born on March 10, 1938, in Dubuque, Iowa, to Anna May and Cris Fuss. She moved to the Quad-Cities when she was 12. She graduated from Moline High School and attended Black Hawk and Scott community colleges.

Susi was employed as services administration secretary for Transitions Mental Health Rehabilitation in Rock Island for 30 years, retiring in April 2008.

Susi started volunteering at a young age and gave countless hours to various causes, groups and organizations. She was involved with the Quad City Arts and the AIDS Project Quad Cities, where she was involved in education, advocacy and was a "Buddy." As a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, she served as an usher, lector, served two terms on the church council, was a member of WELCA and the Prayer Shawl Ministry.

Susi lived a full and active life. She had a colorful personality, made friends easily; she was known for her keen sense of humor and her ability to make people laugh.

Those left to celebrate her life are children, Keith (Sharon) Bratton, Tampa, Fla., Laura Pruitt, Zephyrhills, Fla., and Christian "Cris" (Heather Brown) Stock, Moline; stepson, Matthew Stock, Columbus, Ind.; foster son, Larry DeMassino, Davenport; grandchildren, Nicholas Boddie, Alexis Pruitt, Christian, Cooper and Mary Sue Stock, Rachel and Logan Brown; and a fellowship of friends.

Susi, child of God, lived her life "one day at a time" for 74 years.
