RECYCLING INFORMATION
Many Quad-Cities recycling centers have varying hours and acceptable material. Here is a list of sites and phone numbers.
Bettendorf
- Alter Trading Co., 2117 State St., 344-5200. Open Tuesday through Saturday.
- Bettendorf Recycling Center, 4403 Devils Glen Road, 344-4093. Open Saturdays.
Davenport
- Alter Scrap Processing, 640 Schmidt Road, 328-3601. Open Monday through Saturday.
- Bradley's Wines and Chocolates, 359-3721, 1415 Kimberly Road. Open for residents of Scott County; proceeds fund community projects.
- Davenport Recycling Center, 626 Schmidt Road, 328-3612. Open Tuesday through Saturday.
- Eastern Iowa Recyclers Inc., 3510 Vine Court, 391-8613. Open Monday through Saturday.
- Midwest Battery and Metal, 530 S. Howell St., 323-2297. Open Monday through Saturday.
- Scott County Landfill, 11555 110th Ave. (take River Drive beyond Interstate 280 to County Road Y-48 (110th Avenue), 381-1300. Open Monday through Saturday.
- Used oil is accepted at most Iowa Department of Natural Resources sites. Call (515) 281-5145 for a list of local places that will accept it.
East Moline

Milan

Moline

Rock Island
- Rock Island Recycling Drop-Off Center, 24th Street and 16th Avenue, 793-3465. Open daily.
- Aluminum Company of America (Alcoa) Recycling, 801 11th St., 786-5119. Open Tuesday through Saturday.
- Del's Metal Company, 1605 1st St., 788-1993. Open Monday through Saturday.
- Durbin Paper Stock Co., 430 1st St., 786-6633. Open daily.
- E&J Metal Co., 200 24th Ave., 788-6341. Hours: 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Open Monday through Saturday.
Silvis
- Unocal, 1540 1st Ave., accepts used motor oil for 15 cents a gallon.
Tires
- Used tires are not being recycled in the Quad-Cities. Tire Marketing Quad-Cities sites will accept passenger car tires for a $2 fee and send them to landfills.
