Popcorn Balls

Ingredients

1/3 cup Karo light syrup
1 cup sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1/3 cup water
1 teaspoon vanilla
7 cups popped popcorn

Instructions

Combine syrup, sugar, salt, butter and water in 3 quart saucepan. Heat to 250 degrees on a candy thermometer or until a drop makes a hard ball when placed in cold water. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Pour over popped popcorn. Stir and form into balls. Makes 7 to 8 popcorn balls.
