Popcorn Salad

I got this recipe from the radio on WMT, a station out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. They used to have a program, "Open Line," where you could call in recipes.

1 cup finely chopped celery
1/2 cup green onion, sliced
1/2 cup water chestnuts, sliced
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 pound bacon, fried crisp and crumbled
1 cup mayonnaise
2 teaspoons sugar
6 cups popped popcorn, small white kernals

Combine all ingredients except for the popcorn. Two hours before serving, mix in popcorn.
